This is great. I can understand his anger! So thankful Jesus wants to love and restore roses like us.
I love this sermon. And, of course, Matt Chandler. Thank you for reminding us that just as Jesus wants the rose, SO SHOULD WE. My lofty opinions of myself are a lie. They keep me far from the places where Jesus would have been walking. And where He wants me to walk. With the tattered, scarred and dirty. Because, to Him, a rose is still a rose.
That’s right Cristal! I love me some Chandler too, “Explicit Gospel” is definitely on my reading list.
I heard this one awhile back – truly excellent stuff.
Power… impact… truth.
How powerful! Touched me in ways I cannot express. Sandy
Thank you so much for posting this snippet from Matt’s teaching. I’m blessed to sit under his preaching every week and I can stop thanking God for men like Matt Chandler.
Chandler is some good stuff! He has a way of punching you in the face while making you laugh at the same time….
A “sermon jam”? That’s a different kind of “jam session” for sure! 🙂

This was incredible. Thanks for posting.
WOW!! Ty Randy. Never heard this before…powerful! Absolutely extraordinary power in a message that is sometimes so taken for granted by the Church!
Be blessed brother

I’m right there with him! So many… not even teaching the basics of our faith!!!!
Instead they teach emotionally-driven moralism. What junk. Thanks for posting this.
BTW, he SHOULD Have stood up and shouted the truth. Maybe that is what we need more of… men who will stand up and confront error when error is being proclaimed. Think about what an effect that would have on what men teach from the pulpit. They would definitely think twice before teaching something that is not biblical. Maybe we need a movement among the laity for such…
I hear ya Pastor Tim, God needs to start a rising with the common folk in the pews and trenches…
I am going to send this to a 14 year old girl who really needs to hear it. The timing and the words are perfect for her needs.

Thought of a couple people that could use this today. Take three minutes and be uplifted!
